Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with high-end clients within a busy executive salon and/or mobile spa service in the Cayman Islands.
Must be proficient in all aspects of beauty therapy or cosmetology, including facials, massage, manicures, pedicures, waxing, eyelash treatments and body scrubs or wraps. Acrylic nails, stone massage, and Clarins product knowledge is advantageous, but not essential. A minimum of five years experience on the salon floor and a NVQ 111 or equivalent qualification is compulsory.
Hair Stylist/Color Technician
Must be proficient in all aspects of hairdressing, including foils, updos, precision cutting, straight blowdries and Goldwell color techniques. Relax treatments, Japanese thermal straightening, or hair extensions would be advantageous, but not essential. A minimum of five years experience on the salon floor and a NVQ 111 or equivalent qualification is compulsory.
Must have a NVQ3 or recognised certificate with at least 5 years experience in the industry. Must be able to apply makeup, cosmetics, mascara, eyelash, lip liner, eye liner, powder etc. Must also be able to shape eyebrow, lip line, hair, and facial hair. Must be comfortable doing makeup for different events like weddings, dates, funerals, etc. Must also be comfortable giving advice to clients about maintaining hygiene after applying/removing makeup.
Must be a professional licensed massage therapist or have a minimum of 500 hours at a recognized school to enable licensing in the Cayman Islands. A minimum of five years practical experience is required, including Swedish massage techniques and the ability to apply a firm pressure.
Must have a NVQ 3 or recognised certificate with at least 5 years experience in the industry. Must be able to provide nail and hand services to customers, such as basic manicures, natural nails, artificial nails, gel nails, hand massages, nail fills, nail repair, nail wraps, nail polishing and paraffin wax. Pedicures and the application of acrylic toenails may also be performed.
A receptionist is the primary point of contact for clients and must be good a communicating with people. Work duties include greeting clients, providing them with information, scheduling appointments and ensuring that clients have received the services that they have asked for. Must be Caymanian or status holder, a high school graduate and computer literate. Must also know how to use Word and Excel well and have a good command of the English language. Experience using Salon Iris is a plus. Should also have a stylish presentation, good hygiene and grooming.
A clean driving license is essential for all positions.
